Fascia to fascia measurements for side mount railings.
Flashing drops 2 1/2", remaining fascia 8" below flashing.
Railings color - Black
Main deck stairs A - 48" wide
Gate here to be approx 48" wide, what ever works best for side mount on deck and top mount on stairs
Stringers are 2" from edge of treads and are 1 1/2" wide -steel.
Would like top mount posts (on stairs only) to straddle them so I don't have to drill through stringers (if possible). The top of the stringers run up the fascia, this is how they mount. See detail to left..
