Jeff I don't know this measurement, don't see how it plays into this. The house is over on Quadra island and a long way to get to.
The way these stairs are built I know we will have some lost tread room on the outside of the lower stair railings but they are large and the client undrstands this.
The 46 1/4" and the 75 1/4" are measurements to the edge of the first tread which is level with the landing, this way it is mounted to the posts at the house with WW and bottom rail brackets. So no holes in vinyl.
